Stanford University Replacement Hospital

Stanford University Replacement Hospital
Stanford, CA

Stanford Hospital & Clinics is building a new main hospital facility in order to accommodate advanced medical technology, increase capacity needs, meet seismic-safety requirements, and transform the way that patient care is delivered at the hospital.

The new Stanford Hospital, designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, in association with Lee, Burkhart, Liu, Inc., includes an expanded Level 1 Trauma Center (Emergency Room) and 144 additional beds.

TBS was engaged to provide the technical review of design and construction documentation relating to the building envelope, shop drawing review, and field report preparation.

Construction is projected to take five years, during which time Stanford Hospital will remain open and fully operational.
