Mullica and Evergreen Residence Halls
Glassboro, NJ

Located on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, Mullica and Evergreen Residence Halls were constructed in 1961, and collectively house approximately 300 students. Both buildings are three story concrete-framed structures with brick infill.

In 2003, Rowan University engaged TBS to investigate/assess the existing condition of the building envelope components, and to provide preliminary recommendations on the necessary remedial/repair work/options of both Mullica and Evergreen Halls.

In 2013, Rowan engaged TBS to investigate/assess the existing condition of the buildings’ low slope and steep slope roof systems. TBS provided recommendations as to the appropriate replacement systems, components, and detailing for the project.

TBS investigated the building envelope components, determined the cause(s) of the deficiencies, recommend solutions, and provided design, bidding and construction administration services for the exterior renovations and roof replacement. The scope of the projects included replacement of all windows and security screen systems, doors and aluminum entrance system replacement, brick masonry wall repairs, installation of properly designed through-wall flashing systems, concrete wall repairs, as well as removal and replacement of the low slope built-up roof (BUR) systems, and steep slope standing seam metal roof systems.
