North Halls
Glassboro, NJ

Located on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, the North Halls include three (3) individual dormitories, Chestnut, Magnolia, and Willow Halls. Constructed in 1983 the buildings collectively house over 700 students. Almost since the buildings completion the University had experienced water infiltration into the partial Basements at all three (3) buildings.

Rowan University engaged TBS to investigate/assess the existing condition of the building envelope components, and provide preliminary recommendations on the necessary remedial/repair work/options of the North Halls.

TBS Services, Inc. was engaged by the University to investigate the building envelope components, determine the cause(s) of the deficiencies, recommend solutions, and provided design, bidding and construction administration services for the Exterior Renovations, Below Grade Waterproofing and New Sewage Lift Station at the North Halls. The scope of the work included replacement of windows and cladding at Service Rooms, brick masonry wall repairs, installation of joint sealant systems, below grade waterproofing, as well as miscellaneous roof and storm water management system repairs.
